I was group B strep positive as well for my last two pregnancies. My water broke both times before I could be induced but, thankfully, both times I didn't actually go into labor so I was able to get antibiotics before I finally was induced.

So, are both your boys completely healthy now, or do they have any lingering effects from their conditions when they were infants? What are the ages of all your children?Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14318595988087482161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27670398228389322.post-80280074218059764242008-02-14T06:12:00.000-06:002008-02-14T06:12:00.000-06:00He is completely beautiful! He is completely beautiful!Alice Guntherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05998555457432426192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27670398228389322.post-29375312113740535742008-02-13T22:51:00.000-06:002008-02-13T22:51:00.000-06:00Happy nine months Gustin! Asher even has that same striped onsie, only in long sleeves.

My due date was May 12, but I was induced one day early to make sure I was able to receive the full antibiotics for group B strep. My first son (second child) got group B strep and a bone infection when he was 5 weeks old. He was hospitalized for 5 days (had a couple surgeries and a lot of other stuff) and had to wear a pic line IV for six weeks (I learned very quickly how to be a nurse). Anyway his labor and delivery went so fast that I didn't have enough time to receive all of the antibiotics so we didn't want to chance it with Asher. He passed that, but then we learned at 2 to 3 weeks that he was born with craniosynistosis (the bones in his head were fused) so he had major surgery at 4 1/2 months to remove the fused bone and was in the hospital for 5 days. I thank God for the gifts of my boys and for the lessons they and He have taught me. I am a stonger and better person because of it.

Just thought I would share.Jodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11230018971168061120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27670398228389322.post-64303587690584332542008-02-13T20:46:00.000-06:002008-02-13T20:46:00.000-06:00He is so so adorable.
