I'm disappointed

You paid attention during 97% of high school!

85-100% You must be an autodidact, because American high schools don't get scores that high! Good show, old chap!

Do you deserve your high school diploma?

My perfectionist, high school valedictorian self wanted to get 100%! I loved getting good grades in school. I even did extra credit work whenever I could so that in my calculus class I actually had a six week average of over 100%. I was (and still am) such a NERD!! I so wish there were grades for mothering. I detest not knowing if I am doing things right and nothing can build my self esteem like a big, fat A with a smiley face next to it!

Just in case grades are important to any of you, I give an A+ in mothering to Lillian, Blair, Veronica, Jill, and Emily!

Oh my! Could we get any more similar?! I wasn't valedictorian (5th in a class of 300), but I was a total study nerd as well. I HAD to get A's or I would freak out...I could go on and on about this.... I even hate to admit that I wasn't the best at working in groups because I just told everyone I would do all the work. I couldn't let anyone else's lack of study addiction leave my grade up to chance. I feel a little bad about this now. College was the same...
Anyway, now what really matters is our mothering. And you are right- it's hard not to have that percentage or that letter grade. We get smiles, hugs, cute pictures, and the joy of watching our children grow into incredible human beings. From one study nerd to another- that's even better, isn't it? (But, just in case...I give you an A+ with a smiley face for your mothering!)

Jill,

We are alike! I think the groups I worked with in school either thought I was some kind of school work nazi or a ticket to an easy A. I, too, regret pushing so hard. I think it would have done me some good to have gotten a B every now and then. Maybe I wouldn't be so hard on myself then when I know I'm being less than perfect as a wife or a mother.

And, thank you for my A+ and smiley face!! :)

ROFLOL!!! Colleen, I got a 97% on the quiz, too! I was ranked #26 out of 660 in high school. I cried when I got my first B in college (my senior year) because I would only be Summa Cum Laude instead of Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0.

Great minds think alike (and read each other's blogs)! LOL!!!
